Stephan Brandstatter is a percussionist and gong specialist. For nearly 30 years he has passionately pursued Sound Therapy, exploring the benefits and healing qualities of vibrational resonating instruments such as gongs, chimes, bells, bowls, cymbals, hand drums and more. He has been on a journey and path exploring the mystery, mystique and healing power of the gong. It began after his introduction to the gong by the Grand Gong Master and founder of Gong Yoga, Don Conreaux. It has taken him deep into himself and afforded him opportunities to present the “Spirit, Energy & Power” of this ancient instrument to the public. Throughout these years he has performed for numerous local non-profits, yoga studios, individuals, in group settings and in concert. Aside from this work he has also worked and recorded with a number of modern contemporary singer/songwriters and musicians such as Don Bykoff, British Guitarist Brian “January” Musson, Bill Shontz, Tom Namaya, Les Rios, Malcolm Goldstein, Dennis Waring and numerous others and has shared the stage with Richie Havens, Leo Kottke, Tony Chirco and others. In addition he was instrumental in creating Vibrant Ensemble, Pintoy, Tom Brimm & the Gentle Force, and has toured throughout Europe, Israel, England and Wales.
