Bio

Jimmy is a seriously talented Chinese Musician who plays every Chinese folk instrument as far as I can tell. He is seriously hooked into the Chinese music scene in the Boston area and is well known for playing traditional Chinese music. He was a member of the JMDE quartet with Evil Clown regular Michael Knoblach. This was his initial exposure to Western free improvisation and he has found a very interesting voice which fits very well while still being authentically Chinese in character. Michael brought Jimmy over for a couple of Expanse Meets the JMDE Quartet sessions and then Jimmy brought over other Chinese musicians for the Leap of Faith Chinese Orchestra sets…
